PRIVATE CLASSES
IN SOUTHERN VERMONT

Individual sacred plant medicine classes
for more intimate and focused learning that fits with your schedule.


         Sage offers private classes to those interested in more one on one training. Focus will be placed on what each individual is most interested in learning, with stress on learning the foundations of herbal medicine, wild foods, medicine making, and developing deep relationships with the plant spirits. Classes are 2-4 hours in length, and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly dependent on Sage's availability. Sliding scale of $45-$65 per hour for each individual in a private class. Workstudy can be arranged in our herb gardens.

         Located 20 minutes from Brattleboro, 8 minutes from Putney, VT, and 30 minutes from Keene, NH. From 91, take exit 4 to Putney, a left after the ramp, and a right onto Main St. (Rt. 5) which will take you into Putney. In Putney, follow Rt. 5 straight for about 8 minutes. Take a left at South Pine Banks Rd., when you see the sign for Harlow's Maple Sugar. Follow South Pine Banks until you see Quarry Rd. on the left, the driveway is slightly further down Pine Banks Rd. on the right.



Sage L. Maurer teaches all private classes, unless guest teachers are specified.


Sage Maurer is the director of The Gaia School of Healing in Westminster, VT. She is an independent practitioner and teacher of herbal healing, plant spirit medicine, shamanism, deep ecology, and ethnobotany. In 2001, Sage founded The Gaia School of Healing in Boston, Massachusetts, and has trained hundreds of apprentices in the past 15 years primarily in New England. Sage holds a degree in anthropology with a concentration in ethnobotany from The University of Hawaii, and a Masters degree in environmental education. She is currently teaching year round in Vermont where she is offering apprenticeships and workshops throughout the year.
